What is peritoneal cancer?
This is a rare cancer that occurs in the peritoneum, a thin, delicate sheet that lines the abdomen inside wall covering the uterus and expands over the bladder and rectum. The peritoneum is made up of epithelial cells and the peritoneum helps the organs to move smoothly inside the abdomen by producing a lubricating fluid.
